Events & Awards Annual Awards Breakfast Honoring Agri-Business Community Farm Credit of Central Florida and the Plant City Chamber of Commerce annually co-sponsor a breakfast to honor excellence in Plant City's agri-business community. This year's winners were: Young Agriculturist of the Year Robert Lane Wetherington, son of Director Ron and Faye, was chosen Young Agriculturist of the Year by the Plant City Chamber of Commerce. Agribusiness of the Year Hansel Griffin of Blue Ribbon Farms Tomato Packing was chosen as Plant city's 2003 Agribusiness of the Year. Ag Educator of the Year Tom Umiker was chosen Plant City's Ag Educator of the Year for 2003. Agriculturist of the Year Gerald Barron was named 2003 Plant City Agriculturist of the Year
