Al Bellotto, Chairman of the Board, is life-long resident of Polk County and a lifetime rancher and citrus grower. He has been a member of the association for 29 years. He also serves as a director of the Polk County Cattlemen's Association, and is a past president of the Florida Cattlemen's Association, Polk County Cattlemen's Association and Polk County Farm Bureau. Mr. Bellotto served on the AgFirst Farm Credit Bank Board both as Chairman and as a director as well as the Farm Credit Funding Corporation in New York. In addition, he served as chairman of the Florida Beef Council for eight years and is a past director of Citrus Showcase. Mr. Bellotto has served on the ACA board since April 1991, and his current term of office expires April 2012. David J. Stanford, Vice Chairman, is a citrus grower and real estate agent and serves on the board of South Lake Apopka Citrus Growers Association (citrus cooperative). For the past 5 years Mr. Stanford has been self-employed. Mr. Stanford has served on the ACA board since April 1992, and his current term of office expires April 2011.
Lemuel Baylis Carnes, III, age 73, has spent 50 of his 64 years in the Polk County area involved with agriculture. His principal occupation is aggregate mining, processing and sales with Standard Sand and Silica Company. The operation consists of 400 acres of citrus groves in Polk County, 3,000 acres of timber in Georgia, and various businesses related to the production and sale of aggregates in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. He also serves on the board of Standard Sand & Silica Company. His current term of office expires April 2011. Dennis Carlton has lived in Hillsborough County his entire life and has been involved in agriculture for over 30 years. He is the owner/partner in over 365 acres of citrus and over 6,000 head of cattle. In February 2004, he was appointed to the ACA Board to fill a vacancy and was elected by the stockholders in April 2004 to serve a three-year term. Mr. Carlton serves on the boards of Hillsborough County Farm Bureau, Valrico State Bank, and NRCS Supervisor (Soil Conversation). He is also a member of the Florida Cattlemen's Association, Florida Citrus Mutual and Texas Cattle Feeders. His current term expires in 2010.
Rex Clonts, is a citrus grower and serves on the board of the Golden Gem Growers, Inc. and Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association. His principal occupation and employment for the past 5 years was with Clonts Farms, Inc. Mr. Clonts has served on the ACA board since February 1997, and his current term of office expires April 2012. Homer E. Hunnicutt, Jr., is an egg producer and serves on the boards of Hillandale Farms of Florida, Hillandale Farms, Inc., Columbia Grain & Ingredients, Inc. and Sun Bank & Trust Company. His principal occupation and employment for the past 5 years was with Hernando Egg Producers and Finest Farms. Mr. Hunnicutt has served on the ACA board since April 1991, and his current term of office expires in 2010.
John Langford, a Bartow native, earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He owns Polk County citrus groves and is recognized by the National Association of Realtors Land Institute as an Accredited Land Consultant. His late father, Richard H. Langford, served more than 25 years on the board of Farm Credit’s predecessors, The Federal Land Bank (FLBA) and the Production Credit Association (PCA). He was appointed to fill the unexpired term of retiring board member William G. Adams in 2005 and re-elected to a full three-year term in April of 2006. His term expires in April of 2012. Robbie Roberson, is a nurseryman and serves on the Boards of the Bank of Central Florida and the Orange County Farm Bureau. His principal occupation and employment for the past 5 years was with Tan Su Inc., d.b.a. Foliage Factory Too. Mr. Roberson has served on the Association Board since December 1997, and his current term of office will expire in 2010.
Lewis S. Stidham, is a former commercial banker from Citrus & Chemical Bank and is appointed by the Board, serving as the "outside' director. His principal occupation and employment for the past 5 years was with Citrus & Chemical Bank (now retired) and self-employment. Mr. Stidham has served on the ACA board since May 1995, and his current term of office expires in 2010. Ronald R. Wetherington, is a strawberry and citrus grower and serves on the boards of the Hillsborough County Farm Bureau, Florida Farm Bureau Inc., Florida Farm Bureau Federation, Florida FFA Foundation, and Hillsborough County Law Enforcement Association. His principal occupation and employment for the past 5 years was with Wetherington Farms. Mr. Wetherington has served on the ACA board since May 1993, and his current term of office expires April 2011.
